Fresh Food Season Begins, affecting Truckload capacity and availability…

The June 2016, LOGIC Services Team newsletter reports:  Load to truck ratios are having a significant impact on higher carrier costs and often play a role in limited capacity in major markets. A key factor, the produce season is now in full swing with the southern part of the country most impacted with load to truck ratio as high as 12:1. Not to be outdone, the Midwest markets, including Illinois and Indiana are experiencing load to truck ratios at 10:1 rate.
